Crashing the yachts together to make one big yachting  !

As the sun shone on us, Swarleen, Taliha and I hit the sand  and rusty rocks…

”4th place,” AJ said . Facing towards our boat!

Happy that Swarleen would not quite scream at us again. Two other yachts joined us on the second island or I should call the battlefield. There was a moment of silence then someone had a fantastic idea to join the boats together with our ropes.So we tried then…

“Crash, bang, thump!  The boats were smashed together. As the sun scorched melting us and the water shook like a bad chain reaction, I could taste the cold water dripping out of my mouth numbing my chin and freezing up my face.I felt the slippery yacht and the hard rope burn my hands giving me a rope burn. We have done it, six yachts without sails are about to set off.

We waited until the sun reached middle  of mid the sky then we set off like warriors that we are, trying to beat Aj!We'll see how the rest goes on in a different story.Did we beat him or not beat him ?you will have to see.

Moment:I was at the beach in Whanganui then I sank into quicksand

“Crash bang “ “hisssss”As the sea washed up on the scorching sand the shells boli into hot rocks.Some people from my Aunt Sue who has cancer wanted to take my brother and I with two other cousins called Sebastian and Maddie to the beach down in Whanganui.It was really warmish at the time so I said yes.Running along the warm sand I jogged into the water  It felt nice.Time passed by and my aunty told us that we can’t get wet or we can’t go swimming.Troy asked if I wanted to collect some nganga with him so I said yes.running to the Monan... Suddenly I felt the range of tangaroa grab me with such tōpana It felt like I was mealiting into the beach then the sand suddenly broken nganga sank in with my poor foot scratching me wondering my foot. With all my strength I pulled my foot but my left foot sank as well time pastet like a hawk then my waist sank in as well rushing the save the day my Maddie  came and pulled me out of the slippery slimy sand. Then I realized I was wet soaked running away from my cousin wanting to get away from getting told off. But I did because I ran into my aunty  two steps later which scucked badly. The end!

Plan:

• I can see great big blue sea  brushing against the deadly hot sand!
• Jag my dog  stamping on in the car  like an elephant in the bush.
•  Shells packed like a wall on the ocean floor.

The story when my mum almost died!

It was about to turn dark and I was casually sitting on the soft couch in my nana’s house peacefully. It was my birthday. Until old Mr.loudmouth (my brother) came in and yelled “get up get up where going eeling because dad said”.Going into the car I saw two cars behind me a neighbor's car called tuna and my mum and dad in the car behind us.I was in a car with my brother,cousin and two uncles it was full with random bits of things like nets,ropes,fishing stuff,bag’s and rope.After we stopped at the lake and set it was the eage of a cliff.I remember seeing mum with beer drinking away on the way to the lake there was a big slip and we managed to not fall.It was getting dark we set up I sat next to tunas daughter in a little hole on the side of one of the walls.We cached about 1 or 2 eel’s and mum was still drinking so she was drunk. we were on our way back when… We came to slip yelling at my mum to stop over and over again until my throat went sour but she couldn't...she was posset  and she slipped raced down the hill with that she hit her head on the side of the hill and splashed into the water.the current was strong like the ocean so it lead her away to the sea.everyone saw her fall.I cried think that it was the last thing I was gonna see to remember my mum think that she was gonna die!crying harder along with my brother and cousin the light’s went on and yelling happened the torch’s sparke and flickers as my ears and eyes were hurting to much it made the voice thick and loud.My eyes where to full of tears to look.sliding down the hill my dad slid down after her.As the bright light faded like it was frozen in time we were pulled to the side.Waiting silently in the cold cote of darkness, sounds that I couldn't hear anymore was left for good! Having to leave I stared at my feet crying not knowing what happened. Finally getting home to my nana, I calmed down and watched tv the went to bed. The next day mum just came out of the hospital she had a big scar under her eye but she hides it with make up to this day she was in a coma for the night. So that’s the story of when my mum died right in front of my eyes it still a pain to think about it so I don’t think about it often as I used to.

Introduction:   

So you say why did I chose this topic? Well you see  we thought this was the best choice because it look awesome and maybe a 58% chance in working and a 42% chance that it won’t and also its fun finding things that you want to try like me.

Fat Question:

What liquid will make blobs in a bottle work?

Hypothesis:

I think that the oil will stick onto the glow powder and it will light up or it will dissolve into the water/oil and fail.

Things you need

• A clean 1 liter clear Fizzy bottle
• 3/4 cup of water
• Dishwashing Liquid
• Vinegar
• Vegetable Oil
• Fizzing tablets (such as Alka Seltzer) - To make the blobs move around
• Food coloring
• Glitter-(if you want)Procedure:
  Step 1: Grab an empty plastic bottle make sure it is clean and it depends on the size you want and place that on your bench.
  Step 2:Pour the water into the bottle until it’s up to the amount you want.
  Step 3:Pour oil into the bottle until the bottle is full
  Step 4:Add 10/10 drops of food coloring into it
  Step 5:Add the glitter and the glow in the dark powder carefully!
  Step 6:Break a seltzer tablet in half and drop the half tablet into the bottle. Watch it sink to the bottom and let the blobby greatness begin!
  Step 7:To keep the effect going, just add another tablet piece. For a true lava lamp effect, shine a light through the bottle and see if it glow’s.
  Step 8:repeat with the other liquids but a different bottle and the same ingredients and see which one works better.

  • Glow powder is actually really truely called phosphorescent pigment.It is the basis of just about all glow in the dark products. This powdery substance absorbs light and then re-emits it over a length of time.
  • The science behind The lava lamp is the heat comes from a light bulb. The heavier liquid absorbs the heat, and as it heats up, it expands. As it expands it becomes less dense. Because the liquids have very similar densities, the formerly heavier liquid is suddenly lighter than the other liquid, so it rises.

As I stood there unaware, play with an object of a brass, a flute was in my hand warming
the fun within me.
But a creator of unfair fly like he deserved it was really a sign of bad was over   hearing
like a wolf for one thing he couldn't baer was the sign of heart and care.
As the wind was getting cold a hart of unbold towers over me then Bang!
He was over his heart of fear dashing to safety he lost his love for his grated fear...
Slapping and pushing for the love of fear.

                               

A  uncaring creator of dark was here ready to play bully till I die
.From the gloom within me something wasn't right maye a little thing or a big thing that said
from something.
From the inside of me I worked hard for the one thing i couldn't do now wich was fly.spending
the whole day and night i made something like a kite
.Ready to roll I rolled it out a cannon to help make it real.
Wings of oatmeal and glue with a few feathers would do.Ready aim fire! As the cold mist cried
on my face it worked it worked but then..I was splat on my face.

My sight was blurry and really faint losing myself thick white mist around me, because there
in a shadows stood the three baf face’s. Putting his saggy long fingernails on me one picked
me up as i acted faint looking into my poor soul As i thought “oh no i’m done goodbye everyone
”.But wait there at 2:00 o'clock was hero to save me.playing my sweet tuned flute like her
hard was made of gold.Pushing and shoving one by one the three baf faces chased her
like a wolf.Cold and lost she was looked bad then she got caught one big clarins hand
wash her wings where now really hurt.

When I woke up my head was like a brick wall I secured to the place where the only two
thing’s where my heart belonged to them and them only not anymore my sister auteam and
my flute barry.There alone they stood them a monster of guilt scraped under my skin asi tried
to help her.Crack! then... The silents grew loud. A stick witch only men’t  the three baf face
where near.holding each others hand a friendship of bonding jumped in us one by one our
wings grew strong in the name of love. in the madness they came a monster grew but was
very true that he was a bad face that was left in there dust!

Intro:

p1:Hello people! Today i’m going to be talking to you about Biodiversity. If you think this speech is going to be funny then adios, go listen to someone else because this is not a laughable topic. If you are serious about our environment,  then you need to hear what I have to say…

What is biodiversity?

p2:Biodiversity (in a peaceful way) is the balance between different animals and plants. It is Mother Nature’s bright side, her good side. Yes mother nature has a dark side as well like earthquakes, tsunamis and volcanic eruptions, but i’m not here to tell you about her dark side, I want to focus on the bright side.  Anyway, as i was saying biodiversity is every living thing working together to help create peace around the world. Biodiversity is the reason why we live!

Why do we have it?

p3:The environment was here long before we were. In fact it was here long before anything else was here. Biodiversity in in purest form is everywhere.

So instead of saying ‘Why do we have it?” we almost need to ask “What was it like before humans ruined it?” Because biodiversity has been here longer than we have. Wait, did you just realized that without biodiversity our world would be different? The water would be a mix of gas and rubbish and the land would be a desert that no living thing could live on. Scary right? Where would polar bears be living with no ice? The wrath pole?

What do I think of it

P4: To me, Biodiversity is everywhere. It is life, it is everything that supports life. I feel strongly about Biodiversity, but I feel like too many people in the world don’t. Computers are starting to take over people’s lives which means they are slowly escaping reality and forgetting about what is really important in this world.a lot of people out there who are trying to do the right thing, but there are still too many people that don’t care if they are destroying it, and they probably won’t start caring until it’s too late.

What can we do to fix it?

P5: Maybe we need to evolve back into cavemen. At least then we would start to have more respect for the environment because we would need to rely on it to survive. Maybe being caveman again would help save the environment? Maybe we need to start using less power or less harmful gases. Maybe we need to plant more trees? Our Te Reo teacher Tipene has created a video on how to to keep our native trees alive. Maybe this needs to be something that everyone watches so that they can see the benefits to our Biodiversity this would have.

Conclusion:

P6: Did you know that Flaxmere was once a thriving wetland? There was a huge river close by and the whole area was wetland which provided the local Pa’s with lots of food and supplies. This is an example of how humans lived with the environment. Then someone had the bright idea to drain the water and build lots of house’s right on the spot, all for the sake of expanding and making money. This is an example of humans not working with the environment. It's really sad to think about how the  Biodiversity of that area was ruined. So to sum up my speech today, Biodiversity is everywhere and it’s everything. We need to work with the natural biodiversity so that every species that relies on it can continue to enjoy it for years to come. Thank you.
