Long fin eels

Longfin Eels

Eels are fascinating creatures because they can travel to tropical islands for breeding that's why I am going to tell you about long fin tuna (eels).


Apparance
Long fin tuna are slimey when they are scared or dry.long fin tener have little gray eyes on their black body. Long fin tener  have fins at the sides of its head and on top of its hole body.long fin tener are  bottom dwellers.

Habitat
Long fin tener  live in new zealand in the rivers, lakes, creeks, swamps ,dams and some live in the ocean.


Diet
Long fin tener eat little mammals that fall into their home also fish, meet, power, crabs, little crabs, shrimp and sea
urchins.

Enemies

That's why we are the biggest  enemy   the second
Biggest enemy is a electric eel,moray eel,sea snake,water bird,big fish,racoons.


Life cycle
In a eels first stage in its life cycle is it breaks free from its egg then gets swept away by the New Zealand current then finds a creek or river to live in  until it  time to breed to breed  the longfin eel  goes through the pipes  and goes to the  sea and swims to tropical islands to lay 40000 eggs then dies.

Kiwi Report

The Brown Kiwi

Introduction
The brown kiwi is new zealand's national icon.it represents who we are when we play sports  when we are play agent's other countries and travelling around the globe.However,it is one of New Zealand’s most endangered birds today I am going to tell a few facts about the brown kiwi.

Appearance
A kiwi has strong  thine legs and sharp claws to running away.Brown kiwis have nostrils at the end of its beak to sniff out prey and predators.kiwis can not fly cose they have little wing’s and  brown fur and lose feathers.

Habitat   
Most kiwis live in the southland in dark forests in dense undergrowth in the cost.
Diet
Kiwis eat insects worms,berries and crayfish leaves.


Life cycle
First egg hatches the chick  stands up when the kiwi is 3 or 4 months old it leaves its mother's territory and makes
a mate and build a den and lay eggs and sit on the eggs then it starts all over again and again and again and again.

Behaviours

a kiwi is nocturnal ( which means it sleeps at  day and is awake at night).

Enemies

A kiwi’s enemies are stoats,ferrets,rat,possums,Cat/dogs and wild pigs that kiwis have to face.


I think kiwis are great things because they represents who we are.
